Timothy Hill's residential programs on the Zachary, LA campus consist of 1 home that serve up to 10 boys as a safe haven for at-risk children and young people age 13-17. These individuals often struggle with issues of abuse, neglect, homelessness, addiction, or alternative to incarceration.
The residential programs focus on education, vocational training, life coaching and spiritual guidance set in equestrian, adventure-based setting with the goal of transforming lives through love. Trained professional staff teach them how to become productive citizens through career counseling, caseworker & caretaker support, and creating a plan for transitioning back into the community.
Model daily routines, conflict resolution, problem solving, and positive social interaction. Create a home atmosphere with caring gestures, cozy atmosphere, and home-style meals. Inspire residents to hope and believe they can achieve anything. Teach strong work ethic, value in education, good manners and respect for others. Direct Care workers are to behave like a parent and provider would, develop relationships, and be professional. In addition, there is an administrative aspect that would require completing participation logs, mediation logs, shift summaries, and dispensing medications. Be part of a team that helps achieve goals for our residents.
